Share Your Story With Me!

Posted By: Val on January 3, 2011 at 5:31 pm

The Internet Church was birthed from a genuine desire to encourage God’s people, wherever they find themselves. It is still in its infancy stage, but the Lord has given me a relevant message for His People, especially in these End Times. We are the Salt of the Earth and the Lord wants us to get excited again about the incredible possibilities of the message He has entrusted to us.

I have been very interested in the current global phenomenon of “unchurched Christians” and the reasons so many of God’s “born again” children have withdrawn from the local church. So much so, that I started a Bible Study in Durban for “hungry” Christians who are struggling to find a new church home and the response has been astounding.

These are not “angry” or “anti-Church” believers, but folk who genuinely love the Lord and find themselves no longer part of an established fellowship, some after many years of service in a local body.  The reasons they have shared range from inability to relate to modern “worship” songs, over-emphasis on finance, lack of content in sermons, and dominating attitudes of Pastors, among others. They understand that “The Church” is made up of believers of all ages and times. They also believe in the ministry of the local church – but not always in the way it expresses itself.

Please share your story with me. I want to hear how you relate to the local body and why,  perhaps, you do not. I would appreciate it if you would make your comments on my blog by clicking on the “Add Your Comment” link below.  Please keep in mind this is not a forum for “hate speech,” or anti-church sentiment, but sincere sharing of seasons in our spiritual lives.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Val
